DPF & AdBlue Diagnostics & Repair in Cork

DPF, AdBlue and SCR fault diagnosis for diesel cars and vans at SHED 31 in Aherla, Co. Cork.

Warning messages, failed regeneration and emissions-system faults should be diagnosed before parts are replaced. We check the actual system data and related components to identify the cause.

DPF and AdBlue diagnostics and repair at SHED 31 in Cork

DIAGNOSE BEFORE REPAIR

DPF and AdBlue faults are system faults, not just warning lights.

A DPF or AdBlue warning can be caused by the filter itself, but it can also result from sensors, exhaust temperature, differential pressure, engine running conditions, SCR/NOx faults, dosing problems or another underlying engine-management issue. Correct diagnosis helps avoid replacing parts that are not responsible for the fault.

DPF diagnostics in Cork

We diagnose DPF-related faults including failed or repeated regeneration, excessive soot loading, differential-pressure problems, exhaust-temperature sensor faults and engine-management issues that prevent regeneration from completing correctly.

Failed regenerationIdentify why a regeneration will not start, complete or remain successful.
DPF pressure faultsCheck differential-pressure readings, sensor plausibility and related pipework where required.
Temperature sensor faultsAssess exhaust-temperature data and sensor faults that can affect regeneration strategy.
Engine-related causesBoost, EGR, fueling and sensor faults can contribute to DPF problems and should be considered during diagnosis.

AdBlue & SCR diagnostics

AdBlue/SCR systems use pumps, heaters, injectors, level and quality monitoring, NOx sensors and ECU logic. We diagnose warning messages and fault codes to determine whether the problem is in the dosing system, sensors, wiring, supply, SCR monitoring or another related system.

AdBlue warning / no-start countdownDiagnose the underlying stored faults and system status before repair decisions are made.
NOx sensor faultsCheck fault information and live data to distinguish sensor or system problems.
AdBlue dosing faultsInvestigate pump, injector, pressure, heater and related control faults where applicable.
SCR efficiency faultsEvaluate relevant system data and contributing faults rather than relying on the warning message alone.

DPF cleaning, regeneration and repair

Where suitable, a diagnostic regeneration or related repair may be appropriate. A forced regeneration should not be treated as a universal fix: if the vehicle has an underlying fault, that cause needs to be addressed so the problem does not simply return.

DPF / ADBLUE FAQ

Common DPF & AdBlue questions.

Questions about diesel emissions-system diagnosis and repair in Cork.

Why is my DPF warning light on?

The filter may be loaded, but failed regeneration can also be caused by pressure or temperature sensors, engine faults, EGR/boost issues, driving conditions or other problems. Diagnosis is needed before deciding on the repair.

Can you diagnose a DPF that will not regenerate?

Yes. We can investigate why regeneration is not starting or completing and check relevant DPF and engine-management data.

Do you carry out forced DPF regeneration?

Where appropriate and safe for the vehicle. A forced regeneration should only be carried out after checking whether an underlying fault would make it ineffective or inappropriate.

Why does my AdBlue warning keep coming back?

AdBlue warnings can relate to dosing, pressure, heaters, sensors, NOx monitoring, wiring or SCR efficiency. The stored faults and live data need to be checked.

Can an AdBlue fault cause a no-start countdown?

Yes, some vehicles can display a remaining-start or distance countdown when the SCR/AdBlue system detects unresolved faults. The cause should be diagnosed promptly.

Do you diagnose NOx sensor faults?

Yes. NOx-sensor faults and related SCR system issues can be investigated using fault information, live data and electrical checks where required.

Do you work on diesel vans?

Yes, DPF and AdBlue diagnostics are available for suitable diesel cars, vans and light commercial vehicles.

Where are you based?
